Connecticut or New York Order on Hold?

Unfortunately, with the State of New York's unconstitutional ban on civilian ownership of body armor, the current company SOP is that we cannot ship armor, items designed to hold armor, or trauma pads to NY residents unless they meet the exemption list. If you are on the list, then there is a form provided by the State of New York that can be filled out and notarized, then emailed to us. Then we can ship the banned items to you. This form, and the exemption list, can be found here:

If you do not meet the exemption list, is there somewhere outside NY (and CT for similar restrictions) that we can send the armor? If so, could you tell us the full new shipping address?

You can also leave the order on hold while our ongoing lawsuit against the State of New York continues, but please be aware that after 3 months from when the payment was processed making refunds may not be possible so a refund would have to be a check, which can take up to 2 weeks to make. How would you like us to proceed?


Connecticut (CT)


Due to Connecticut state laws, all armor rated items are restricted to face-to-face transactions that require the exchanging of IDs. This means we would need to be in the state of CT with your items and check your ID as we hand it to you. This forces us to restrict our sales to Active DOD and state/federal LEO members only. If you fall within this category, please attach your credentials with your order number to an email and send it to support@ar500armor.com with the word "Connecticut" in the subject. Alternatively you can send your credentials to us via the live chat function on our website.  

If you are not in this category, we can only fulfill your order if you update your address in our system with an out of state address. If this is the case, please let us know the best out of state address and we will update your order.


Lastly, if you do not have either credentials, or an alternate address, we can either remove all armored items and ship you the items that are not restricted (medical supplies/IFAKS, targets, pouches, carriers, etc.) or fully refund your order. If you would like the order cancelled and refunded, we can forward this email to our cancellations team with your permission and it should be processed within 24 hours.
